One of the creatures I made up, haven’t given it a name yet… not even sure if I’ll be using this concept design of him…
This was painted for my Comparative Anatomy class. Our final was to combine an animal and human together. I had a lot of part animal and part human creatures in the starting phase of concepting and decided to go ahead and try finishing up on one.
Anyone have a suggestion on what to name it? :P

A kiss is what would turn him back into a prince, but all he got was a hug. So now he is a half-prince.

Here’s a character portrait I just finished up for my portfolio at superbatcat.com. The character is from a game idea of mine. I plan on making the interface for this game idea soon.

Here’s a digital painting I did recently for my portfolio, which is why it says superbatcat on the bottom, not 4girlgamers. =}

Thank You to the Etsy seller, PatchworkPhoenix, for letting me use a picture of her for some image editing fun. Her picture really reminded me of a fairy, so here she is as a fairy in the forest!

Painted in Photoshop Elements 3.0
Work in progress painting my avatar from Gaiaonline.com
This time around I’m implementing movement of cloth and adding folds. Critiques on my previous submitted piece suggested that I make less stiff looking cloth by adding folds and wrinkles in the right places to show movement. :D
I started the painting by very roughly blocking in my idea. From there started to fill in the shapes and mold the character from the blotches of color. I am making revisions as I go.

I tried to keep the colors unified by putting down a layer of color before painting over it. This way all the colors have a similar tint :D I like the scarf <3
